This is an OMC Stringer type Ball Gear and driveshaft from a cable shift 400 800 series type sterndrive. OMC part #909044. 20 spline shaft, 12-1/4" from bearing flange plate to end of shaft. Ball gear is about 70% condition...will last a long time if you don't run the drive tilted up (BAD). Overall a good serviceable part. Included are the 4 mounting bolts and the splash shield. The latest virtual reality car brought to some sort of real world life is the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV Evolution Vision Gran Turismo concept (much like the VW GTI Roadster we saw recently) which is being made available for Gran Turismo 6. Sadly, the XR-PHEV Evolution is just a concept and isn’t intended to proclaim the future of the Mitsubishi EVO, even though it’s an enticing thought.

GM to recall 1.5 million vehicles for fire risk

General Motors Co. said it is recalling 1.5 million vehicles with heated washer-fluid systems following engine fires that occurred even after a 2008 fix on many of the same cars for similar problems. The recalls, to begin by June 14, will affect 18 models of 2006-2009 Buicks, Cadillacs, Chevrolets, GMCs, Hummers and Saturns, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on its Web site today.
