This is a good used OMC Stringer 800 series V8 Upper Gearcase. Unit is a mechanical shift. Gear ratio is 21:17. Gears are in good shape, ball gear is approx 75%. Gear oil was free of contamination and unit pressure tested to 15psi without leaks. Unit has been repaired where the lift quadrant mounts (pictured). Very solid good working unit. Priced accordingly. Ready to install.

Photos of the redesigned 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible have hit the Internet, weeks before its planned official debut. Images of the 200 convertible, which replaces the Chrysler Sebring convertible, apparently leaked onto the Web in Europe. The car likely will make its formal debut at the Chicago auto show in February or at the New York auto show in April.

Euro NCAP gets tough on whiplash

But as we noted then, this was the last bunch of NCAP tests under the existing regulations, and all changes from the New Year. As an introduction to the new tests, NCAP has just released test figures for whiplash testing on a group of 25 cars recently tested, and the results are rather enlightening.

The VW Eos Bluemotion launches in the UK A New Year, but still VW are rolling out new BlueMotion Models. This time on the Eos. The usual tweaks apply to give the Eos its BlueMotion status – regenerative braking, start-stop, hill-hold and a gear change light – but this is the first time (unless we’ve missed something along the way) that VW has utilised its BlueMotion toys on a petrol engine.
