Range Rover Evoque gets the Auto Express Car of the Year gong Last night was the annual back-slapping fest that is the Auto Express New Car Awards for 2011. And even though Cars UK weren’t there we still think we should let you know what won what so you can see if you agree. The overall winner and Auto Express Car of the Year for 2011 was the Range Rover Evoque.

Tesla Model S: First customer cars in June

Tesla Model S - deliveries start in June Tesla Motors will deliver the first customer Tesla Model S cars to customer in the US in June as Tesla finally hits the make or break point. The Tesla Model S has been a long time coming, but Tesla now say that the first Model S cars will start to arrive with customers in the US in June, slightly ahead of schedule – which must be a first for Tesla. The first 1,000 deliveries will be of the range-topping Signature Series cars which come with the big 85kWh battery pack and lots of toys and cosmetic embellishments, but after that it’s regular Model S deliveries, although the cheaper versions with smaller battery packs and lower range won’t arrive until later.

Jaguar F-Type CRASH!

The new Jaguar F-Type hasn’t hit the road yet – in fact very few outside Jaguar have been behind the wheel – but one has already crashed. The new Jaguar F-Type hasn’t started to hit Jaguar showrooms yet, and very few have been driven by anyone outside Jaguar. Jaguar have been letting a few ‘names’ loose in the F-Type for a bit of PR, like Le Mans driver Andy Wallace and Martin Brundle, but most of the ‘press’ play with the F-Type has been in the passenger seat.
