Toyota Yaris Facelift revealed

The 2014 Toyota Yaris (pictured) gets a new look It’s only a few months since the Toyota Yaris got a series of updates for 2014, but despite that Toyota has rolled out a full facelift for the Yaris which will arrive in Toyota showrooms this summer. Building on the styling of the new Toyota Aygo, the new Yaris gets a cosmetic makeover on the exterior including the same cross shape nose with a central Toyota logo, new upper and lower grills, LED tail lights, diffuser in the back bumper and a new shape number plate surround. Inside, Toyota say they’ve invested a lot of work to make the cabin of the Yaris better and given it a greater feel of roominess and dynamic appeal, more choices of equipment and trim and a more upmarket feel.

Manzoni, Ingenlath and Hildebrand to speak at Auto Design Prague

The fourth annual Auto Design Prague conference will take place on 18 September at the National Technical Library in Prague-Dejvice. The event is open to professionals and the wider public, and will include a program of 10 presentations by designers including vice president of Ferrari design, Flavio Manzoni; Volvo design director Thomas Ingenlath; Jaguar's advanced design director, Julian Thompson, and Qoros head of design, Gert Hildebrand. Land Rover Defender to return to U.S.

Land Rover will bring the redesigned Defender SUV to the United States as its entry-level vehicle, said Ralf Speth, CEO of Jaguar Land Rover. The Defender could debut as early as 2015 and will be based on the DC100 concept shown at the 2011 Frankfurt auto show. The rugged Defender is currently sold in overseas markets and was last sold here in 1997.
