It also served up some quality crumpet (more of which later)… So what’s new on Mini’s London motor show stand?The ultimate Mini – the John Cooper Works version – went on sale on press day of the London motor show, offering 208bhp, 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds, a 148 mph top speed and a cool body kit. BAIC are planning to produce the old Saab 9-5 in China It would seem that there is a use for it – not just scrap value. BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation), which recently acquired a small stake in Saab and where there are high hopes of some good Saab sales in China, wants to buy up the old 9-5 tooling. And move it lock, stock and barrel to Beijing.

Land Rover announces black and silver Defender for Geneva

2014 Land Rover Defender Black Pack The new Black Pack on the Land Rover Defender paints the roof, grille and headlight surrounds, wheel arches, Defender badge and interior facia in the manufacturer’s Santorini black finish. Privacy glass (a first for the Defender) is included in the pack, and ebony Alston headlining – as seen on the latest Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models – is added to the interior. Buyers will get a choice of two wheel variations in, you guessed it, black.
