Tue, 15 Apr 2014By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 15 April 2014 07:00 The Citroen DS 6WR may have a clumsy name, but it’s the new premium SUV for the maker’s DS range and is crucial to the ‘Back in the Race’ plan announced by new PSA chairman, Carlos Tavares. While Peugeot is showing off the stunning Exalt concept, this is the first picture of the new Citroen SUV ahead of its launch at the Beijing motor show. Part of the plan sees a stepping-up ‘DS’ as a premium sub-brand for Citroen, and that’s why the 6WR takes styling cues from the Wild Rubis concept of 2013.
Toyota FT-86G concept (2010) first pictures
Mon, 18 Jan 2010This is Toyota’s FT-86G, the second concept in quick succession from the Japanese car manufacturer that previews a rear-wheel drive sports coupe coming in 2011. Unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon, the latest FT-86 show car has a sleeker and more aggressive look, after the more rounded and shapely lines of the concept revealed at the 2009 Tokyo motor show. The looks are the major departure, with the new lines giving the 'G' a much sharper set of metalwork.
Future products: Toyota lineup gets an 18-month makeover
Tue, 28 Sep 2010Toyota plans to move into new product segments over the next 18 months, as well as redesign several mainstream models. By the spring of 2012, Toyota will launch all-new versions of the Camry, Yaris, Tacoma and RAV4. Also, the new FT-86 sport coupe, developed with Subaru, should arrive on these shores by that time.
