Tue, 02 Sep 2014The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has reached fever pitch - your Facebook feed is probably as inundated as the ice-cold victims - but allow us to serve up a selection of the best drenchings from the world of Formula 1. We’ve gathered together some of the best Ice Bucket Challenges from the pitlane, featuring such luminaries as Lewis Hamilton, the Red Bull team and even the BBC F1 commentary squad. New Maserati Ghibli could get 4.0 litre V8 Diesel
Sun, 28 Apr 2013The V8 diesel is not exactly the most common engine on offer, but it is an engine Ford makes and is probably best known as the engine of choice in the new Range Rover and the new 2014 Range Rover Sport (finally). We’ve also been championing its credentials as a perfect V8 diesel engine for Jaguar’s XJ, but Jaguar don’t seem to be listening. But it’s not just Land Rover who’ve got a big V8 diesel in an appealing road car, Porsche also has the new Cayenne diesel S complete with a V8 diesel with oodles of torque, the promise of great headline economy when you’re poodling and a 0-62mph in just 5.7 seconds.
Dacia Logan MCV (Estate) revealed: Geneva Motor Show
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Renault’s budget brand – and driving force – Dacia reveals a new model to add to the Duster and Sandero – the Dacia Logan MCV Estate. Renault’s budget brand has hit at the hearts of cash-strapped motorists with two models, aimed at the mopping up sales in the space vacated by former budget brands like Hyundai and Kia, with the cracking little compact SUV Duster and the far from useless Sandero, and now it has a new car aimed at budget-conscious family motorists – the Dacia Logan MCV Estate. The Logan MCV (maximum capacity vehicle) shares a common platform with other Dacias and comes in at 4490mm long with enough room in the back for 573 litres of junk with the seats up or a fairly capacious 1518 litre with the back seats folded down and a huge 16 different storage areas dotted around.
