Maserati has confirmed its upcoming sedan will be called the Ghibli, and a heavily covered four-door model has been captured near Modena, Italy. Is this the purported E-segment sedan that could spell sales volume and an extension of the Maserati brand? LEARNER DRIVERS are being urged to make sure their instructor is operating legally after dozens have been convicted for not having the correct licence, The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has said. The warning from the DSA comes after more than 123 people have been arrested for offences relating to illegal driving instruction in the last four years. Of those 39 were convicted and 31 received police cautions, the DSA said.

Nissan North America may postpone a V6 diesel engine planned for the Maxima sedan in 2010. Since the company revealed its Maxima diesel plan two years ago, gasoline prices have fallen dramatically, auto sales have collapsed and Nissan has begun reviewing product plans as it scrambles to restore profitability. "We haven't reached a decision on the diesel yet, but we have to consider where we want to put our capital investments," says Larry Dominique, North American vice president for product planning.
