What you are looking at is nothing short of legend. It is a genuine authentic vintage Booklet on Hot Rodding Cutomizing & Streamlining by a gentlemen who is referred to as a true Pioneer, Edgar Almquist Jr. The booklet was copyright in 1946 by Almquist and printed in 1948. It is a true vintage Original. Even the most extensive of Old School Hot Rodding of Libraries do not have an original copy. CUSTOM STYLING MANUAL SIMPLIFIED METHODS FOR CUSTOMIZING STREAMLINING ALL MAKES OF CARS. "Enjoy the distinction that is inherent in owning a customizied car" is how the green paper cover reads. There are about 44 pages with advertisements in the back. Several Hand drawn diagrams as well as many photos of customized cars. Almquist was way ahead of his time. If you can imagine about writing about Lowering Convertible/ Hardtops,Sealed beams in Fenders, Restyling Grilles, Coffin Front Ends,Headlight Shutters, Push-button Doors, Shaved Door Handles and a host of other creative modifying BACK IN 1946, then you will beging to imagine what a Pioneer this man was the world of Hot Rodding. After publishing this and other books, Almquist went one to manufacturer and patent several Hot Rod Parts. One of his biggest customers was Big Daddy Don Garlits. There is a Hemmings article on Almquist where Garlits is quoted that the Hot Rod Industry owes a big "Thanks" to Ed Almquist and that he really was a "True Pioneer." This 9" x 6" Manual is well known throughout the old school customizing world, but it is very rare that an original would come up for sale like this. Very Few Hot Rod Historians have seen this in original format much less have one. It is a wonderful read. You won't find it on Amazon! As far as Auto Literature Dealers, expect to pay a king's ransom for an original but only if they have one. This comes to you at of a very rare early Hot Rod Private Literature Collection. As such, it has not been dragged to Hershey or Carlisle umpteen times. It is in VG Condition with the front page becoming loose. Checkout my other auctions for some more rare Literature that is fresh to the market. This is a Rare Collectible. Don't snooze at the chance to one this wonderful piece. You've been voting over the past fortnight for your greatest hot hatch of all time – and there are still two weeks left to influence our poll. At the time of writing, the top ten is led (perhaps curiously!) by the Saab 99 Turbo, followed by the Lancia Delta Integrale, VW Golf GTi Mk1 and Peugeot 205 GTI.

Tesla Roadster Final Edition
Tesla Roadster S production ends this year, and Tesla are saying goodbye to their first car with the Roadster Final Edition. Despite antipathy about the price and the range, the Tesla Roadster is the first proper electric sports car to hit the road – and sell. Tesla has managed to sell 2,600 Roadsters based on a Lotus platform since the Roadster launched, but production is now ending.

The Porsche Cajun Coupe Crossover
It’s only a week or two since we finally discovered for certain that Porsche will be building an SUV / Crossover based on the Audi Q5. And we also discovered that instead of being the Porsche Roxster – which was always a bit of joke name – Porsche’s trendy crossover would be the Porsche Cajun. And yes, we fully expect the Porsche Chilli and the Porsche Jalapeno to join in at some point in the future.
