This is an Original 1930's Harley Davidson 18in. Wheel. This original wheel was recently acquired from the estate of an elderly collector. It had been stored in an old shed many years. This original wheel features a splined-styled hub, and 40 spokes. Wheel appears to be straight and solid, although there are several bent spokes(see pics). Hub and spokes are fairly clean, with only slight surface rust. Top side of rim has old paint with some areas of surface rust and some pitting, but should still prep and refinish without too much effort. More prominant pitting is present on inner surface of rim(see pics), but shouldn't affect the wheel's function. Overall width of hub is approx. 4in. Outside width of rim is approx. 3 1/4in., and width inside beads is approx. 2 1/4in. An old 4.00-18 Firestone tire was recently removed from this wheel, but was very hard and aged, and was discarded. I beleive this style wheel was used on '30 thru '36 Harley models, might fit other years. Combined shipping applied on multiple purchases. Your bid buys Original 1930's Harley Davidson 18in. Based on the theme of ‘Intelligent Urban Living', the winners include a simple but effective vertical storage system to keep bikes out of reach of thieves and a keyboard display that makes life easier for two-fingered typists. Mazda CX-5 crossover to get a diesel-engine option for 2014
Mon, 05 Sep 2011Mazda's CX-5 compact crossover will get a diesel option for the 2014 model year, according to a source familiar with the company's plans. The CX-5 goes on sale in the United States in February with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine. The vehicle will have Mazda's new Skyactiv fuel-saving technologies, which include direct-injection engines, a more efficient transmission and a lightweight frame and chassis.
