Original 1965-69 Impala Big Block Chevy 396 427 Double Baffle Oil Pan

This is a rare BBC Impala oil pan with the double baffle only used on the 396 427. You don't find these very often for Impala. This one was cleaned to bare metal, primed and painted with high temperature Chevy orange. I did not use any filler on it so it has some dents and pits. No leaks and pan looks good. Inside was cleaned with soap and water. I consider this pan very nice original for a driver and small car show type car.

Despite its sophisticated suspension and spacious interior, Opel struggled to sell its big Diplomat luxury sedan. It was 1968 and Opel simply couldn't compete with Mercedes-Benz, the leader in that segment by far.
