The compatible list is certainly incomplete. This is the emission rake manifold... race cars run these as well. Painted to show no cracks.

This was in a 1973 Chevrolet Impala 2D Hardtop and had a 350 CI engine with a 2 barrel carb. This is the RIGHT, or passenger side exhaust manifold. This was the first year for the exhaust gas recirculation or EGR system and these engines had the Air Induction Recirculation or AIR pipes on them, with the screw on valves and rubber hoses attaching. This is the small block V8 and these manifolds were interchanged up through the 1980s. The 307 and 400 also used them. Did not even put a dent in a list of compatible vehicles that used this same manifold but did fill up a couple of pages. Do not know anything about the AIR "rake" or tube assembly and the valve but am including it with the manifold. I will say that back in the day, people bypassed these when they rusted out or souped up the motor by cutting them off and closing them up or just plugged the manifold with brass plugs. But if your trying to look authentic for 1973 and up to around 1979. OR LOOKING FOR AN ORIGINAL MANIFOLD FOR A "Granny special" this one is it. NOT selling the rake and valve just the manifold. At inventory back in '09 it was rattle canned to look for cracks... the crack will make the paint look darker on the crack line..sorta opposite to an x ray. Anyway, there are no cracks in the cast and and all the factory flange studs are there. There are no broken mounting bolt ears either. This is a forty year old manifold...original GM cast iron ore made in the USA... not a re-pop from foreign lands made out of recycled scrap cast with an American distributor's name on it. Another part of AMERICAN GM automotive history before it was ruined. Thanks for looking.
Email any questions BEFORE you bid.  "BUY IT NOW" means EXACTLY what is says. If you click on it.. BUY it. This also means, if you buy it, PAY for it. Please do not "buy it now", and not pay for it. This is not LAY AWAY eBay. You have taken my item off the market when you bid on it.  Selling both new and used items. Some are vintage items, not new items from today. If it is marked new, it IS new. It may be a vintage, old item, but if it is unused or unopened other than for photos, then it is NEW. That is why items are described in detail. Items are priced as used, not new, unless otherwise noted. If it appears unused, but does not have an original packaging or box, it is considered new. Free shipping is offered on some first class items in the continental USA ONLY. Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico rates from NC are not included in our free shipping. The international shipping is not marked, but the global box is and will ship to Canada and some overseas countries at the BUYER'S expense. If you chose to you can go the shipping broker. However, on over weight and oversize items, check with them first, They may not be able to ship it out of the country for you. This location sends international shipping to the KY global exchange and there was a buyer  in a country that could not be shipped to, due to the size.  Will ship the cheapest way possible, especially on free shipping items unless the buyer requests differently. Also, combined shipping on multiple items to reduce charges on items without free shipping and on internationally shipped items. If shipping is extra, it is done so you pay as little as possible.  Will not ship to ASIA, the ORIENT, the MIDDLE EAST or MEXICO.   Payment is expected within 24 hours of auction closing. A case will be opened with eBay for non payment as soon as possible after the third invoice and no further contact with you will be submitted. The item will be re-listed and you will be recorded by eBay as a non-paying bidder. This is done regardless of your excuse, to get the final value fee credit. I do NOT accept returns, therefore if you say the item is damaged, it is insured through usps.com . I do not use ShipCover, as they do NOT cover the initial shipping. It is the BUYER'S responsibility to file claim, as insurance is documented on domestic shipments only. Small items eligible for first class rates are shipped free. MOST ITEMS SHIPPED ARE INSURED WHETHER IT IS SHIPPED FREE OR NOT. PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE ME FOR RETURN REQUEST. EBAY OFFERS SELLERS THE CHOICE WHETHER OR NOT TO ACCEPT RETURNS AND I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. Items are carefully wrapped and packed. If it arrives damaged, take it to the post office. Am not responsible for careless handling by carriers or shipping handlers and am not paying to get it back. International registered mail has their on guidelines for each country, and you as the buyer can research how to file your claim online at usps.com. This was verified by phone with eBay. Once again...PLEASE, if you cannot pay for it, do NOT bid on it. Do not bid with buyer's remorse.  After 16 years, and that fact that eBay's "buyer protection" leaves nothing secure for the seller, trying to sell on eBay has become much more difficult. Veteran sellers do understand this. If you do not understand any part of these shipping details, please email for questions. Thank you for your interest in AMERICA'S collectible history, and thank you to those that have, do, and will, serve to protect our country. In God we trust, and God bless the USA.

Concept Car of the Week: Mazda RX500 (1970)

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

Developed by the Toyo Kogyo Company's advanced design and engineering team, the Mazda RX-500 was described as a ‘mobile test bed for high-speed safety'. Looking at its design, the team's childlike enthusiasm has shone through, resulting in a very cool concept.  From the rakish front to the wraparound windscreen and on to the bread van rear, everything communicates high-tech and ‘70's futurism while also channeling a little of the Star Wars X-Wing. Thanks to plastic body panels, the concept weighs only 850kg and is powered by a 491cc rotary engine delivering 247bhp fitted behind the cabin, in front of the rear axle.

Great Americans: 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T

Thu, 04 Jul 2013

The classic Dodge Challenger's most famous movie role was the 1971 box-office success "Vanishing Point." A pastiche of man vs. society, a legendary staple in classic narrative -- as exemplified by such works as "1984," "Fahrenheit 451," "Charlotte's Web," Idiocracy -- "Vanishing Point" was a movie made by those who commonly styled themselves as "auteurs," making a "film" for the corporate overlords at Warner Brothers, who just happened to land themselves some brand-new Chrysler products and ultimately went on to create, as the DVD reissue box art that I found in the $5 movie bin at Wal-Mart claims, "the ultimate car chase movie!" The movie is rife for philosophical introspection, performed as it is by Philosophy 132 majors needing to pass their Humanities requirement and who couldn't find any more copies of "American Beauty" at their local Best Buy. So, ignore the movie.
