THIS UNIT IS FROM 69 IMPALA, WILL WORK ON 70 MODELS AS WELL AND NOT SURE WHICH OTHER B BODIES IT WILL FIT. THE SPEEDO WORKS AND THE ANNOYING BUZZER DOES TOO!  HAVE HAD THIS IN STORAGE WITH OTHER 69 CHEVY RARE OPTIONS TO PUT ON MY CARS JUST NEVER GOT TO IT AND BY NOW NEVER WILL.  GEEZERDOM SUCKS AS DOES TOO MUCH STUFF IN STORAGE. PULLED LOTS OF STUFF WHEN THEY WERENT CRUSHING EVERYTHING AND THIS IS ONE OF THE COOL DUDES.

JUST IN CASE YOU DONT KNOW WHAT THIS DOES I MUST SHARE SOME OF MY STORE OF TRIVIAL CAR INFO.  THE YELLOW NEEDLE IS SET BY A CABLE MUCH LIKE THE OLD TRIP METER ON MECHANICAL SPEEDOMETERS.  YOU SET THE NEEDLE TO SAY 75 AND AS YOU ARE CRUISING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND RADAR LOVE COMES ON THE RADIO AND YOU NATURALLY SPEED UP AS YOU MASH THE GO PEDAL AND START PASSING ART AND MARY IN THEIR CADDY AND YOU HIT 75MPH THE WARNING BUZZER GOES OFF AND IF THE STEREO ISNT TOO LOUD YOU NOTE- GEE I'M SPEEDING THRU THIS 55MPH ZONE. THAT IS THE 50'S AND 60'S VERSION OF SAFETY FEATURES.  BIG BROTHER COULDNT HEAR THE BUZZER AND THE COMPUTER WAS NON EXISTANT IN OUR RIDES I SET MINE ON 100 SO MANY OPTIONS!!!

Driven: Jaguar XF

Fri, 07 Nov 2008

It is possibly harder to design a Jaguar than any other premium car brand. The essence of the firm's highly regarded design language is over 40 years old with the shadow of the 1961 E-type and 1968 XJ6 - and even the 1955 Mk1/1959 Mk2 - looming large. For decades the design group has taken cues from these old designs and reinterpreted them to appease the traditionalist Jaguar customer, but in doing so they have reinforced the 'old-man' image of Jaguar and pushed many customers to Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.

Opel/Vauxhall Corsa E

Wed, 09 Jul 2014

If this fifth-generation Opel Corsa looks familiar, that's because this is more a heavy facelift than an all-new car.Opel has concentrated efforts on the eight-year old Corsa's mechanicals rather than an all-new bodyshell. Instead every exterior panel has been redesigned, alongside the entire interior. This is the first Corsa developed under GM Europe's VP of design, Mark Adams and his influence is clear to see, with the incorporation of the lower bodyside 'blade' surface and the pouting mouth of the Adam. While its proportions and upper body are clearly carried over, the new nose treatment in particular disguises the car's high scuttle thanks to the lower grille, lamps and diving shoulderline. The hood also gains a deeply recessed center surface that visually cheats down its height. In order to disguise the carryover glass, the rear of the five-door version's DLO now kicks up at the base of the C-pillar rather than running through into the rear, giving a stronger aesthetic.

VW BlueSport Concept moves nearer to reality

Mon, 19 Jan 2009

We reported last week on the VW BlueSport Concept, a relatively economical 2 seat roadster, which VW unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show. We said then that if we were VW we’d be pressing the start button as soon as possible, and reports seem to indicate that that is exactly what VW are hoping to do. The secret to the success of the BlueSport will be the ability of the VW Group as a whole to find three platforms within its setup that can produce viable models based on the BlueSport Concept.
