UK buyers plugging into electric cars
Wed, 07 May 2014Renault New figures suggest UK motorists are charged up about electric vehicles (EVs), with a record number of zero-emission cars now on Britain’s roads. Figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) suggest there are more than 10,000 electric cars on the road today, with as many as 1,200 EVs sold in March alone. Accidents caused by 'sun dazzle' jump 12%
Wed, 16 Oct 2013ACCIDENTS caused by the sun’s dazzling rays rose by 12% last year according to Department for Transport (DfT) figures. The official statistics show that ‘sun dazzle’ was a major factor in 2,905 accidents in 2012, compared to 2,592 in 2011. A-roads were the most common location for accidents influenced by sun dazzle, at 41% of the total.

CAR Online has spoken to a senior engineer on the programme and has the inside line on Merc's junior 4x4 - a shrunken, and rather angular, mini M-class. It would be the first right-hooker M-B passenger car with 4-Matic, paving the way for future 4WD versions of the C-class and the next E-class.
