2014 Volkswagen Scirocco & Scirocco R facelift tweaks the old Scirocco

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

The 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco (pictured) gets a facelift Before you get too excited, the 2014 Volkswan Scirocco isn’t a nice new version of the Scirocco based on the new Golf Mark 7, but a minor titivate designed to make the ageing Scirocco look a little fresher. Volkswagen has employed the usual facelift tweaks to make the 2014 Scirocco look subtly different to the current model with new bumpers, modified grill, new bi-xenons, new LED tail lights and black diffuser at the back. There’s also a new range of colours on offer and, although the standard Scirocco gets 17″ alloys, you can option 18 and 19″ too.

Ferrari FF gets 875bhp with E85 conversion

Fri, 13 Jan 2012

Ferrari FF E85 conversion gets 875bhp If the performance of the Ferrari FF with 650bhp isn’t enough for you, how about a bio-ethanol (E85) conversion with 875bhp? Despite Ferrari anoraks claiming the Ferrari FF isn’t a real Ferrari, we think it’s stunning. With a glorious V12 producing 650bhp, 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds, room for four – and their luggage – and a go-anywhere 4WD system, we think it’s a masterpiece.

Subaru Forester (2009): first official pictures

Thu, 27 Dec 2007

By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 27 December 2007 14:50 This is Subaru's all-new Forester estate, set to be unveiled at January's Detroit motor show. Devoted fans won't be disappointed, because the 2009 model year Forester dogmatically sticks to the Forester formula: a jacked up, four-wheel drive wagon, but with a newish look, more refinement and improved safety levels, says Subaru. Today's boxy, oldschool Volvo-look makes way for a boxy, newschool Mitsubishi Outlander-look. The lamps, grille and glasshouse are slightly more expressive than on the current car, but Subaru isn't breaking any new ground for car design. Good job, because last time that happened, the Tribeca MPV was inflicted on the world.
