Ford plans to introduce two-cylinder and three-cylinder engines

Ford Motor Co. will introduce its smallest turbocharged engine yet next year, and on the horizon are even tinier engines--including two- and three-cylinder versions, the automaker's powertrain chief said Monday. Barb Samardzich, Ford vice president of powertrain engineering, said two- and three-cylinder engines and engines with displacements of 1.0 liter or below are possible.

It seems the Range Rover Evoque Convertible (pictured) is actually going in to production We weren’t very complimentary about the Range Rover Evoque Convertible when it was revealed in concept form at the Geneva Motor Show last year. And we were relieved when we heard just a few months ago that Land Rover weren’t going to push ahead with production of the Evoque Convertible after all. But it seems that report was incorrect, as What Car are reporting that Land Rover has actually approved the Evoque Convertible for production.

It's going to happen sooner than we though -- the machines are going to take over. No need to jump in your car and drive to your uncle's fallout shelter where he's been stockpiling expired cans of tomato soup, though, at least not just yet. The machines in question are Volvos (pretty benign, right?), and the place they'll be taking over is Volvo's home town of Gothenburg, Sweden.
