The following info should be read with the following understanding ... I am not an expert on these solid rims, and the information regarding them.  I have done some research, and what follows is true to the best of my understanding.

This is the original 4 inch solid disc rim that came on the Willys slat grill jeeps.  It's in pretty nice shape, but not perfect.  I took pictures of the light damage areas

I'm not sure what year this is ... from the research I've done, I expected to see a two digit year stamp near the '2' (see close-up pic), but I don't see any.  I don't see the Kelsey Hayes stamp either, but these are the 90 degree rims that KH made, and not the 45 degree that you would find for the Motor Wheel rims.

The rim was sandblasted and has white primer

If you know about these rims, view the pics and make your own determinations.  If you are not an 'expert' but want original, correct rims for your slat grill, I can send you links that cover the subject matter.

Is the V8 a dying breed? Auto engineers expect more turbos, smaller engines

Tue, 21 Apr 2009

The V8 engine, a symbol of power and prestige for more than a century, is looking more and more like an endangered species. A panel of powertrain experts speaking on Tuesday at the 2009 SAE World Congress painted a bleak picture for big engines in this era of tightening emission standards and volatile fuel prices. But smaller engines will not mean drivers have to give up performance.

July 23: Planning for the trip

Having an EV with a range of 50-70 miles sometimes requires innovation. It certainly requires some planning. Today I had to drive 83.7 miles for, of all things, a ride in the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile.

Tech powers of the new Discovery

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 16 April 2014 17:37 SUVs that can be driven remotely like a Tamiya toy car, with cockpit functions controlled via gestures or freeform speech, and glass that relays images from external cameras to provide genuine 360-degree vision – Land Rover has given a glimpse inside its R&D lab to reveal exciting technology under development. Think it's all pie in the sky stuff, decades from production? There's a remote control, current-shape Discovery out there testing right now, which can be driven from the outside using a touchscreen tablet.
