You do not need to purchase the complete key if your transponder is still working normally. Or for order model which don't need to have the transponder chip. The blade is molded into the plastic head on remote head keys, so it must be cut to match your original key before you can use it. Not all locksmiths or dealerships have the proper equipment to cut high security key shell for Ford , so you will need to call around before purchasing. Once the new key shell is cut you can remove the electronic part from your original key, place it into the new shell and it will work just as normal.. Please be certain that this is the proper key for your vehicle. This key can put chip inside .
