This is a used outboard engine test tank built by Specialty Motors Mfg. It's an older model that is in good shape. It has the air/hydraulic lift and in our opinion these are the best tanks available. We used it for years and had it cleaned and re-painted about 5 years ago. It will need a good cleaning and the hydraulic lift re-filled with oil. We have run outboards as large as 25" shaft V6's in it with no problems. We just don't use it much anymore so it's time to go. The following is the manufactures info off their website.

Outboard Test Tanks

These hydro-engineered test tanks are designed for outboard motors. Internal baffles virtually eliminate cavitation. these tanks are designed to be used with standard propellers, eliminating the need for costly test wheels.

Left the motor into the test tank is made easy by the hydraulic lift arm. the air hydraulic lift arm also doubles as an adjustable work stand. By lifting the motor comfortable work positions, the lift enables the technician to work on both the powerhead and lower unit with no back strain. combined, these features make carburetor, ignition and other fine tuning adjustments efficient and effective, eliminating expensive customer returns.

No Test Wheels Needed!

Local pick-up preferred but we will ship this item for actual costs if needed . It is quite large but with U-ship haulers running all over the country it's possible to ship reasonably. Depending on location common carrier is an option as well and we get very good rates. We have a forklift to load it on a truck or trailer if needed.

It was one of the more memorable automotive events this year, and the massive thunderstorm only added to the drama. Context was fittingly provided by an A380 lounging in the background as the current lineup of Mercedes-Benz escorted Benz's big boy onto the stage, amidst artificial fireworks and real thunder and lightning.
