Completely Overhauled Marine AFB Carter Carburetor 625cfm with Electric Choke

New Floats, Gaskets, Fuel Inlet Fitting and Accelerator Pump.   New Stainless Threaded Rod and Wing Nut for flame arrestor.  Also, I replaced the Air Horn Mount Hardware with Stainless Cap Screws.  Comes with everything shown in the photo.

Carburetor Body/Air Horn soaked in cleaner, not bead blasted.  All other parts were bead blasted, e.g. the Throttle/Choke Linkages, Plates and Shafts.  After Assembly I clear coated the entire carburetor with high temp oil/gas resistant engine paint for the marine environment.

Carburetor has not been bench or leak tested.  But they rarely leak if overhauled properly.  I personally have rebuilt this carb several times without any issues.  This came off an inboard Chrysler Marine LM318 small block engine.  There are many applications for this carb, so make sure that it will be compatible with your motor.

I Highly Recommend that before you use this carburetor you start with fresh clean gasoline, new water/separator, and inline fuel filters.  Sold as is with no returns.  Thanks

Toyota Prius plug-in hits UK

Mon, 21 Jun 2010

The Toyota Prius plug-in arrives in the UK The next step in the Toyota Prius story is the plug-in Prius, which adds some Lithium-Ion batteries to the mix and the ability to plug the Prius in to the mains to get a usable kick-start to your day’s motoring, with an electric only range of up to 12.5 miles – around double the range a regular Prius can manage when fully charged. Toyota announced plans to get 500 Prius Plug-in Hybrids on the roads in 2010 back in September last year to evaluate their real-world performance before the plug-in gets a proper release – probably in 2012. Toyota are leasing 20 of the Prius plug-ins to a handful of public and private businesses in London as part of their plan to develop the Prius plug-in, and reduce the company’s overall CO2 levels – something which is sadly required by legislation.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Porsche has released pictures of the most intense 997 yet, the GT3 RS. Due to be released in spring next year in North America, the RS produces 415PS from its naturally-aspirated 3.6l flat-six, enough for a 0-62mph time of 4.2 seconds. Power is sent through the rear wheels only, whose surrounding shoulders widen by 43mm to accommodate the extra track.
