This is the new Audi RS7 Sportback, just unveiled at the 2013 Detroit auto show. It's an A7 Sportback given the hardcore RS treatment, meaning a 552bhp and 516lb ft 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 that will sprint the RS7 to 62mph in 3.9sec. That's faster than the latest Porsche 911 – it seems life just got a bit harder for the Mercedes CLS63 AMG and BMW M6 Gran Coupe.

Audi revealed the redesigned A7 and S7 luxury fastback sedans in Europe on Friday. The cars get a sharper look all around and a revised powertrain lineup. The A7/S7 now has a single-frame grille, new bumpers, tailpipes and headlights.

But ahead of the official debut BMW has released this teaser video. Of course it's a PR stunt, with glimpses of the Concept X1 mixed in with shots of skateboarders and grafftti artists, but it gives us our first look at the new X1 on the move.
