Condition:For parts or not working

Just opened a box of leather pieces from an auction and this is the rear seat back. I believe this is for a rear upper seat of a 1955 Packard Caribbean.  This is some of the pieces and the piping. It is white front facing with a dark blue band separating the pleated from the non-pleated. the rest is supposed to be light blue but in certain light has a greenish tinge to the color. Why the covering was disassembled I do not know. Maybe it was removed from a junked car piece by piece.  I think the padding on the pleated piece is still intact. Good for use as a pattern if you don't have one. As I complete the other coverings, I will list them. Any questions or more specific photos, just ask and I'll try to oblige.

Rally star and DC Shoes purveyor Ken Block has delivered another piece of wild driving with his latest Gymkhana video--this time carving up the high-banked track at France's Linas at l'Autodrome. If you can dream it, Block can do it--180-degree and 360-degree turns and figure eights in a custom-built, all-wheel-drive Ford Fiesta. There's even a shower of sparks at the end.

Monster Jam is totally rad

Thu, 15 May 2014

To our 6-year-old selves, monster trucks really were the biggest, baddest things on four wheels, mechanized, city-block-sized demon machines that ate sedans and belched fire. The reality is that the trucks aren't that big when you get right up next to them -- certainly not the Caterpillar 797-sized car-obliterators we imagined years ago. They're probably around 12 feet high at most; given current trends, they'll be eclipsed by heavy-duty pickups in a design cycle or two.
