BMW say they are expecting around three quarters of all buyers of the new 2 Series Active Tourer will be new to the brand, which is a big opportunity for BMW. BMW purists may bemoan the front wheel drive setup as a betrayal of all BMW stands for (although you will be able to get xDrive 4WD versions), but for BMW it’s a very pragmatic way to go.
Infiniti to build new compact hatch at Sunderland from 2015

The landmark contract will create 1000 new jobs in the UK, 280 of which will be in the Sunderland plant itself. Cadillac goes Skynet with Super Cruise system

The first version of the system will be found on the ATS and XTS sedans. “Super Cruise has the potential to improve driver performance and enjoyment,” said Don Butler, vice president of Cadillac marketing.
