Google driverless cars ‘safer than humans’
Tue, 29 Oct 2013Google claims that its driverless cars are now safer than human motorists, after analysing testing data gathered over thousands of experimental miles of assessment. The Internet search giant has been developing its controversial autonomous cars for several years, adapting a fleet of 10 vehicles – including six Toyota Prius hybrids, three Lexus RX450h off-roaders and an Audi TT – to drive by themselves. Vettel, who drives for Red Bull Racing, is also an ambassador for Nissan's upmarket car division. Infiniti is a sponsor of RBR, and so Vettel is often seen at Infiniti events.

Among the criteria for a replacement for "The Beast" was the following: "This solicitation is restricted to Major Domestic U.S Automobile Manufacturers, who have their primary headquarters located in the United States of America." Well, with that came the suggestion that Chrysler -- now entirely underneath the banner of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles -- reports to somewhere far, far away from its nominal H.Q. in Auburn Hills, Mich.
