Here we have a pair of Holley list # 3310-1, 780 cfm squarebore, 4 barrel, mechanical secondary carburetors professionally remanufactured and set up for street and strip use. These carbs have been converted from vacuum to mechanical secondary and are ideal for use on a tunnel ram mounted inline or sideways. I've installed the old-school 4-way squirter and 1:1 racing secondary link. They employ new teflon coated throttle shafts, modern universal linkage, downleg boosters, milled choke horns for added flow and enhanced booster signal, and the baseplates have been resurfaced for a perfect seal. They will flow 820+ cfm each and will easily support 1000-1200 horsepower as a pair. THESE ARE NOT FOR MILD STREET ENGINES OR CRUISING, they are intended for use on well-built, large displacement, big blocks. They are best used for racing and occasional trips to the local car cruise. These are very similar to the 660 or 850 center squirter carbs from the late 60's that were popular in racing and Pro-Street applications. Also, these carbs do NOT have vacuum ports, although most engines that would need 1640+ cfm would have no use for a vacuum port! Please call the number below with any questions or concerns regarding your application.

Each has been assembled with high-flow .110" needle & seat assemblies, 50cc pump, # 28/31 (.028" front, .031" rear), FOUR-WAY squirter, and vent baffles. The jetting is 73 up front with a 4.5" Hg high-flow power valve, and the #21 rear metering plate was modified to be slightly richer than stock. They were assembled with new screws, jets, blue non-stick gaskets, and the mounting gaskets are included as shown.

Please email or call me at my shop with any questions regarding fitment. I'll need your engine, trans (stall if automatic), and rear gear specs. I can be reached at 724-523-2947 from 9 am 'til 7 pm, eastern standard time.

I welcome all potential bidders to check my feedback. My feedback from carburetor sales is 100%, and I've sold hundreds in the past few years. I am the owner/operator of a one-man shop and my carbs are built with pride one at a time. Please see my other auctions for more great deals.

      Thanks, Steve

Toyota Recall Update: Half of UK cars now fixed

Mon, 15 Mar 2010

Toyota has fixed half of the 180k cars recalled over the sticky throttle problems It seems like forever ago that we revealed the enormous problems Toyota had with a mass worldwide recall on a  chunk of the cars they’ve produced in the last few years, but it’s actually only a little over a month – even less since we reported on the Prius recall. But having reported the negatives about Toyota – deservedly so – it’s only fair to report the positives. The Toyota Recall for the sticky accelerator affected a rather significant 180,965 cars in the UK alone.

LA Motor Show 2013 preview guide

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

According to the show's organisers, the 2013 LA Motor Show is the 'mother of all shows' - how wonderfully American! It runs from 20 November to 1 December at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and although it's not the biggest motor show on Earth, it does boast a fair number of world debuts and 'first reveals' – many of which we’ve rounded up in the following gallery. Tickets cost $10 (£6.22) during the week and $12 (£7.47) at weekends.
