Pair 21" Rudge Whitworth Wire Wheels, early Rolls Or Other Exotic Or Classic Car on 2040-parts.com
Cheyenne, Wyoming, United States
I picked these up without any history so all I can do is describe what I see and leave it to any potential buyer to decide if they are what he or she wants. The worst one looks like it laid nose down in the dirt for some time and is very rusty including that end of the front spokes. It looks like part of that nose unscrews which would remove a lot of the bad stuff. The face of the wheel center is probably not hurt that bad and should be usable. The rim area has some pitting in one area but is mostly pretty good, doesn't look like it had an old tire that held moisture on it. The other one is a pretty good one, some mild pitting but no real damage. It has some globs of what looks like melted plastic here and there so it must have been in an area that got hot at some point. Please look the pictures and description over carefully and make sure these are the ones you want before you bid. After 40+ years in the hobby,I've seen hundreds of wire wheels that were rusted through in the rim area, any that are not are always potentially good and most,if not all, were red hot when they were formed. The only other issue might be the temper of the metal. These will be sent Fedex Ground. Shipping amount includes recycled box, packing, shipping to lower 48 and insurance,no other fees or costs.
