These dual purpose motorcycle swingarm spools support bikes on a rear swingarm stand and minimize damage to a motorcycle during a fall or crash. The swingarm spools provide a sturdy & solid mounting point for a rear stand to allow motorcycles to be lifted and supported upright without using a kickstand for servicing or storing bikes. Swingarm spool sliders help minimize damage to the bike by acting as a buffer between the ground and the motorcycle during a collision, spreading out the force of impact and letting the bike slide to a more natural stop. The swingarm spools are constructed from heavy duty black delrin. Available in 8mm, 6mm & 10mm sizes to fit the pre-threaded holes most bikes have. We first spied the Rolls Royce MINI back in 2009 and even then we were told it would become a production model. Well, it’s taken a while, but the MINI Inspired by Goodwood (for Goodwood is where BMW build the Rolls Royce) will debut at Shanghai this month and then go in to production with firts cars expected to arrive in early 2012.

1933 Alfa Romeo wins 'Gold Cup' at Villa d'Este

A 1933 Alfa Romeo that its owner longed for as a youngster growing up in South Africa took home the "Coppa d'Oro Villa d'Este" honors at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. The award is voted on by the attendees at the first day of the event, on the shores of Lake Como in Italy. David Cohen said he often saw the Alfa Romeo 6C GS 6th Series when he was riding his bicycle as a boy in South Africa and could only dream of one day owning the car.

To commemorate the special occasion the department decided, instead of the large scale production "Car Classic" from years past, to hold an informal gathering of students, alumni, staff, faculty, and their cars. The event, sponsored by the Office of Student Life, Art Center Student Government and by Pasadena based RTT USA Inc took place on Sunday July 20, 2008.
