Brand:Peterson manufacturing Surface Finish:black paint Manufacturer Part Number:V412 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Placement on Vehicle:Left, Right

Item for bid is one NEW OLD STOCK pair of Fender Mounted Turn Signals. These were made in the USA by Peterson Manufacturing back in the late 1970s or early 1980s. They have plastic lens with the metal bodies. Lens are held in with a metal ring. They have the pedestal mount. Measure 4 inches in diameter, about 1 and 3/4  inches thick. On the top they have TOP, PM-412, SAE I-75, DOT stamped in the body. On the sides of the body there are little 1/8 inch diameter rings stamped in so it they are mounted sticking out the side of the fender the mechanic could knock a drain hole in the body with a nail. Lens are nice except one of the red ones has a very minor scuff on it. Hard to notice in the photo but it is there, should buff out or leave it alone. Bodies are nice, pedestals have mint cad plating with the gaskets and nuts. These are the last of the metal pedestal mounts made, later they just made the all plastic ones. Lens have the Peterson logo and the SAE IST-75 logo. (Meaning they meet or exceed the new 1975 DOT safety standards). Cleaning out the shop and I don't have a project that needs these great vintage lights. Time to let them go.

Chevrolet Aveo 5dr (2011) first official pictures

Thu, 30 Sep 2010

Following the Aveo RS concept’s appearance at Detroit eight months earlier, Chevrolet has revealed the new Aveo at the 2010 Paris motor show. It’s a homegrown model this time, too, replacing the rebodied Daewoo original of 2008. The supermini takes on the aggressive family face deployed so strikingly on Chevy’s tiny Spark and compact Cruze, and there are shake-ups in the engine and transmission departments, too.

Subaru BRZ Concept STI at the Los Angeles Auto Show The Subaru BRZ (and for that matter its sibling, the Toyota FT-86) has been floating around in one form or another as a concept for years. And at Los Angeles we get treated to yet another ‘Concept’ version – the Subaru BRZ Concept STI. Which does seem a bit odd; after all, the production version of the BRZ is scheduled to arrive later this month at the Tokyo Motor Show, and we know from the teaser shots Subaru sent us of the production BRZ that there are changes from this Concept.

Mon, 16 Jan 2012

Porsche plans to delay the introduction of an entry-level roadster amid worries that the car could dilute the brand's image, CEO Matthias Mueller was quoted as saying in a German magazine. "Possibly we need to wait until the next generation of customers before the idea of a small roadster will work for Porsche," Mueller was quoted the business publication Wirtschaftswoche on Jan. 15.
