This no reserve action is for a pair of 14x10 slot wheel with 3. 3/8  inch back space. They have been hand sanded media blasted then lite sprayed dull aluminum on the back  only and spoke area.Looks like new and helps protect back of wheel from grime sticking.I blasted them for a long time hopping to get all the grime off but just a little in the corners, and this process made them look new.The blasting makes them look dul,but with some finish sanding and polishing they would look new. I have about 8 hours total in them.See pictures below.  Do your home work Cougar Mustang Torino, Galaxie.Cyclone Fairlane. I am not an expert on these 46 year old parts but try to describe the best i can. This is not a brand new part so if that is  what your looking for do not bid on it. It appears to me that for its age its nice. I reserve the right to end. the action at any time because it is for sale locally. If you have questions call before you bid. This as most factory parts warranty expired over 40 years ago Do not think it has been extended by them or me. This is a no return item.Call.Garry 360-921-0446.                                                                                                                                                   SHIPPING!!!!! If you or your mom owns a shipping company or have a account you are welcome to send me a shipping slip and make arrangements to have it picked up at my house. I will not box it and you shipper will be responsible for that also. I will not take payment threw pay pal for fear that it will get there damaged! When you go to the post office to send the shipping slip you can get a check for me there.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        The normal shipping cost include care and time and material to prevent that. If you don't want to pay for that i am good with that and always welcome free local pick up.  Shipping is always an issue but i don't control what they charge me or do i do enough business for them to let me have an account. If you can negotiate a lower price with them then do so.It seams to me that buyer that question my shipping cost first never leave there zip code and in more cases it is more than what i am offering! Keep in mind if indeed it is more that will be the amount you will pay!                                                     see  enlarged pictures below!

Tomorrow's world: lightweight carbon composites

Mon, 10 Oct 2011

Once all the dust settles on The Great Battery Farce (the idea that the world's ills will be taken care of by sticking a battery in everything that moves and charging it up) we may eventually face up to the fact that the best way to move something around more economically, is to move less of it. That means making things lighter, a lot lighter. Car makers are working on it and manufacturers like Audi and Jaguar have already become masters in bringing aluminium to the mass production.

The Petersen Museum's proposed new exterior

Mon, 22 Jul 2013

This is not Architectureweek and granted, the Petersen Automotive Museum really does have to do something to its drab, Ohrbach's department store exterior to let people know there's a car museum inside. Shown here is what they're planning to do. The Petersen museum released this drawing of its planned exterior revision.

Spada, The long story of a long tail is Waft's latest book

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Spada, The long story of a short tail is the new book from Waft publishing. As the title suggests, this latest project from the creators of Masters of Modern Car Design charts the remarkably prolific career of Italian car designer Ercole Spada. From the legendary Zagato-era Aston Martin DB4 and Alfa Romeo TZ1 that established his trademark cropped tail, to the 2008 Codatronca supercar that bore his name, via the 1980s BMW 5 and 7 Series, this 304-page hardback covers them all in fine detail.
