Solar car built by Cambridge University crashes
Tue, 08 Oct 2013The annual World Solar Challenge is taking place right now. 38 teams from all round the globe are racing 3,000km (1,864 miles) across Australia using energy from the sun alone. Unfortunately, the planned entry from the UK’s very own Cambridge University isn’t amongst them – because five days before the start the above happened.
Concept Car of the Week: Chrysler Atlantic (1995)
Fri, 16 May 2014The Atlantic concept was arguably one of the first retro-remakes, starting a trend soon followed by cars like the Alfa Romeo Nuvola and the Renault Fiftie. The story began at the 1994 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where Chrysler president Bob Lutz and Chrysler design chief Tom Gale served together as judges. Presented on the lawn around the clubhouse were a variety of old and new concept cars, contrasting with the classic cars to be judged.
Rolls Royce EX200 (RR4) about to surface
Tue, 10 Feb 2009There’s been a whole heap of shots of the new baby Rolls, the RR4 as it’s known internally, and we featured some last month. To add to the mix, we’ve also grabbed an interior shot of the new Rolls, which we reckon will be known as the Rolls Royce Ghost or the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost. But news has now arrived that Rolls Royce is actually planning on revealing the EX200 concept car at Geneva, which is pretty much what the new Rolls will be.
