At the end of last year we saw the VW Cross Coupe Concept at the Tokyo Motor Show, an ‘Urban’ Crossover come SUV Concept from Volkswagen that looked as if it had stolen every current design trend and morphed it in to one concept. Oddly, it worked.

This radical concept was created at a time when Ghia was a division of the Ford Motor Company. The concept itself debuted in one place where the Lincoln brand was, ahem, somewhat underappreciated: the Geneva Auto Show.

Why? Well, the sandwich construction of the A/B Class lends itself perfectly to battery storage for the BlueZERO E-Cell Plus, but this whole platform is due to be dumped when the next generation A/B Class arrives, as it’s considered too expensive to continue.
