Audi TT facelift for 2010 / 2011
Thu, 08 Apr 2010Audi's slightly nipped and tucked 2010/2011 Auid TT The Audi TT – formerly the hairdressers favourite car to mince around town – became a proper sports car when the latest TT hit showrooms. Even the soft top performed properly, and the Audi TT RS was – and is – a mini Audi R8. So having got so much right with the latest TT – and having got so much wrong first time out – Audi have been understandably understated with tweaks to the TT.
New car registrations continue to rise – up 6.6% in July 2014
Wed, 06 Aug 2014The Ford Fiesta (pictured) topped the UK sales chart again in July 2014 There must come a point (mustn’t there?) when new car sales/registrations slow down in the UK, but there seems little sign of it happening any time soon. For the 29th month in a row, new car registrations in the UK rose again in July 2014, up by 6.6 per cent on the same month in 2013, hitting a total of 172,907. So far in 2014, new car registrations have risen by 10.1 per cent to 1,460,172, with the SMMT predicting that new car registrations for 2014 will end up 8.1 per cent up on 2013 at 2,450,000.
Infiniti Emerg-E: Geneva 2012
Tue, 06 Mar 2012Infiniti Emerg-E arrives at Geneva The Infiniti Emerg-E has been revealed at Geneva 2012 with 402bhp from a pair of electric motors and a range-extender engine. The Infiniti Emerg-E, which has been revealed today at the Geneva Motor Show, looks to be a properly promising supercar from Infiniti, and utilises the expensive range-extender technology to produce a stunning-looking car with proper performance potential. Power for the Emerg-E comes from a pair of electric motors powering the back wheels with a combined output of 402bhp and is capable, say Infiniti, of up to 300 miles between charge thanks to its 1.2 litre 3-pot range extending engine (which comes from Lotus) and up to 30 miles on EV power.
