The Panasonic VL2020 battery was used in all BMW diamond shape keys and almost all BMW keys from 2005 except those with comfort access (comfort access keys have a user replaceable battery). These are the same Panasonic VL2020 batteries as the original, but, please note that the lead configuration used in the BMW key fobs is custom for BMW and not available. This battery is the next closest thing and will required a little modification and adding a wire.Instructions for making it work are included in the form of a web link to my web page with detailed color pictures. My instructions involve cutting down the negative lead so that that battery fits flush to the board and then cutting the positive lead leaving a small stub than then soldering a wire from the stub to the board. A lot of people that buy the battery are following youtube videos or instructions posted on forums which involve ripping off the lead frames off the new and old battery and just slipping the battery between the old lead frame. I do not recommend this method. I get a lot of these blotched key fobs in for repair and have taken pictures of some of their handy work and posted them to a web page which I call the Key Fob Wall of Shame www.bmwgm5.com/kf_wos.htm

Opel/Vauxhall Corsa E

Wed, 09 Jul 2014

If this fifth-generation Opel Corsa looks familiar, that's because this is more a heavy facelift than an all-new car.Opel has concentrated efforts on the eight-year old Corsa's mechanicals rather than an all-new bodyshell. Instead every exterior panel has been redesigned, alongside the entire interior. This is the first Corsa developed under GM Europe's VP of design, Mark Adams and his influence is clear to see, with the incorporation of the lower bodyside 'blade' surface and the pouting mouth of the Adam. While its proportions and upper body are clearly carried over, the new nose treatment in particular disguises the car's high scuttle thanks to the lower grille, lamps and diving shoulderline. The hood also gains a deeply recessed center surface that visually cheats down its height. In order to disguise the carryover glass, the rear of the five-door version's DLO now kicks up at the base of the C-pillar rather than running through into the rear, giving a stronger aesthetic.

2015 Land Rover Defender heading for the U.S.

Wed, 03 Oct 2012

Land Rover has revealed that when the 2015 Defender arrives it will be a world car and sold in the USA. So it’s not a huge surprise that Land Rover has revealed that the new Defender will be sold around the world, including in the US, where Land Rover Defenders haven’t been sold for fifteen years. We’re not really going to know exactly how Land Rover plan to market their two ranges – Land Rover and Range Rover – until the all new range of cars finishes rolling out over the next few years.

By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 09 February 2009 09:00 Ever been pootling around the Nürburgring in your Zonda and found it was a mite lacking in grunt? Of course you have. So you - and a couple of other like-minded Zonda owners no doubt – get on the blower to Horacio Pagani and ask him to see if he can spice things up a touch.
