THE NUMBERS ARE THE SLANTED AND ODD SHAPED ONES YOU WOULD SEE ON EARLY 1970-80 HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTOR AND FRAME SERIAL NUMBERS.THEY ARE MADE FROM 01 TOOL STEEL HARDENED TO 58-60 RC. THIS WILL COME IN HANDY FOR THE DISCERNING RESTORER AND ARE VERY HARD TO FIND. THE CHARACTERS ARE A 3/16" CHARACTER AT THE PEAK OF THE CUT. IT DOES NOT COME WITH A BOX TO HOLD. Citroen DS3 Racing concept car (2010) first pictures
Fri, 19 Feb 2010This is Citroen taking a swipe at the Mini Cooper S Works – and giving us a hint at what Sebastian Leob will be driving in next year’s WRC. The DS3 Racing is a pumped up version of the new C3-based premium supermini and just 1000 will be finished at the workshops of Citroen Racing, the team behind 11 rally championship titles. Based on the production 1.6 THP, the Racing version gets tweaks to the turbo, exhaust and engine management system to boost power from 148bhp to 197bhp and add 26lb ft of twist for a 203lb ft total.

Conceived as a competitor for Rolls Royce, it does seem to have carved itself a niche, but probably not the one that Mercedes wanted. Perceived by most as a tarted-up S Class, and bought by the wealthy of the Playstation generation, rather than the Captains of Industry that Mercedes envisioned, the Maybach must be a loss-maker for Mercedes.
2013 Land Rover Freelander 2 facelift coming
Tue, 03 Jul 2012Land Rover are working on a mild facelift for the Freelander 2 for 2013 as it comes towards the end of its shelf life. It’s almost two years since Land Rover last facelifted the Freelander 2, a car that’s been with us since 2006, when they threw in some minor cosmetic tweaks, the first FWD Land Rover and gave us a more powerful diesel option. Somewhere prior to that Land Rover had quietly dropped the V6 petrol engine (in the UK, at least), so adding a more powerful version of the 2.2 litre diesel made sense as did providing a lower price entry point in the FWD Freelander.
