Item (1841)   Engine gear/front input shaft as pictured, from a mid 60's chris craft with Paragon Hydraulic reverse Gear Marine Transmission, P-31-L, (300) series, direct drive transmission, may fit others.  Used good average or better condition, splines are excellent, gear excellent, bearing surface excellent, light seal groove only, two needle bearing are good and will not need replacing.  26 spline and aprox. 6" long.    Removed from a working low hour transmission.  Lightly cleaned and inspected, may require further cleaning before installing. Autoweek contributor Patrick Paternie dead at age 65

Longtime Autoweek contributor Patrick C. Paternie, who shared his love of cars with readers for 12 years at this publication and for 25 years with other magazines and in his many books, died on March 10 at age 65. Paternie had just finished a race in his Porsche 911 at Willow Springs and pulled into his pit area when he suffered a heart attack.

The new 370Z Roadster gets the same 3.7 litre V6 as its Coupe sibling, with either a short ratio six-speed manual ‘box or a seven-speed auto. The 370Z also comes equipped with Nissan’s ‘SynchroRev Match’ which matches revs to cogs to give you a seamless change.
