Item (1841)   Engine gear/front input shaft as pictured, from a mid 60's chris craft with Paragon Hydraulic reverse Gear Marine Transmission, P-31-L, (300) series, direct drive transmission, may fit others.  Used good average or better condition, splines are excellent, gear excellent, bearing surface excellent, light seal groove only, two needle bearing are good and will not need replacing.  26 spline and aprox. 6" long.    Removed from a working low hour transmission.  Lightly cleaned and inspected, may require further cleaning before installing. Volkswagen Opens Order Book For Electric Golf

FOLLOWING on from the recent launch of its electric up!, Volkswagen has announced details of its next new eco-themed model, the e-Golf. Like with its city car, Volkswagen is adopting the policy of using a conventional car as the basis for its electric power Golf. The German car maker is claiming a range of 118 miles after a full charge, while top speed is an acceptable 87mph and the zero to 62mph sprint takes a brisk 10.4 seconds.

Cyclists urged to make themselves visible

CYCLISTS have been warned to take precautions to make themselves easier to see, in time for the darker evenings of winter time. The clocks are set to wind back by an hour this Sunday, bringing darkness down on homeward commutes and making collisions involving cyclists statistically more likely. A survey of 1,000 cyclists, carried out by Autoglass, found that 48% had been caught without lights or high-visibility clothing when the clocks go back.
