Infiniti G25 revealed – but not for the UK
Fri, 13 Aug 2010The entry-level Infiniti G25 - thankfully just for the USA Well, we had what Infiniti called a ‘Performance’ debut at Pebble Beach with the first of Infiniti’s answers to the AMG and M Series in the Infiniti IPL G Coupe, and now we get the more prosaic debut – the Infiniti G25 with a 2.5 litre V6. The entry level G Range saloon gets a modest 218 horses and 187lb’ft of torque, a seven speed auto and will come in a choice of rear wheel drive or all wheel drive and, as far as we can see, you won’t be able to opt for a manual. Infiniti say that the G25 is for those who want an Infiniti G but who don’t want the power of the G37.

With its funky urban looks – like a squashed coupe version of the Hyundai Curb – the Veloster, complete with asymmetrical doors, promises to be at least as much fun as its progenitor – the Hyndai Coupe – was.

Marchionne, who's the current president of trade body ACEA, said factory closures were looming and repeated his call for a concerted EU-wide response to overcapacity. He warned that national interest was blocking action to strip out excess capacity, caused after European new car demand crashed by 3 million in the past five years.
