Pensioner rescued from sinking car

Wed, 13 Aug 2014

A PENSIONER had a lucky escape when he was rescued from his car just before it sank under water after he was stranded on a tidal causeway. The man, in his 80s, was trapped inside the vehicle with the sea rising around him after he got stuck on the causeway between Overton and Sunderland Point, Lancashire, the RNLI said. Emergency services were called just before 3.30pm yesterday and the Morecambe RNLI's inshore lifeboat crew found the man inside the car and unable to open the doors because of the pressure of water.

Cadillac 2014 ELR [w/Gallery]

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

Cadillac unveils the 2014 ELR today at the North American International Auto Show. The new luxury coupe is almost unchanged from the Converj Concept - unveiled at the 2009 NAIAS - upon which it is based and features Cadillac's signature vertical headlamps and rear lamps. The flush fascia and grille – with active shutters behind the grille opening – combined with tapered fascia corners and a raked windshield mean that drag is reduced to 0.305.

New Nissan Juke explodes in to view (sort of)

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

The Nissan Juke – revealed four year ago at the Geneva Motor Show after a preview as the Nissan Qazana Concept the year before - brought Nissan’s funky compact crossover to the public’s attention and introduced a new ‘Ugly is Appealing’ look to mainstream motoring. But four years is a long time in the car world, and many other have tried to grab a piece of the Juke’s market place, so it’s time to give it a refresh with a facelifted version heading for Geneva next month.
