Ferrari apologises for 458 burning rubber on Great Wall of China (video)
Thu, 10 May 2012Ferrari 458 'damaging' the Great Wall of China Ferrari hired a section of the Great Wall of China for a publicity event, but an employee damaged the Great Wall by burning rubber in a 458 Italia. China is a very big deal for Ferrari, as evidenced not only by rising sales but by the special editions Ferrari sells in to the burgeoning luxury car market in China, like the 458 Italia China Special Edition. Sot it’s no surprise that Ferrari wanted to hire out a section of the Great Wall from local authorities in China for a bit of an ‘event’.
Nissan NV200: Nissan’s take on the London Taxi

It may not be the biggest market in the car world, but the profile of the London Taxi makes it a worthwhile target for car makers. Mercedes recently took on the traditional Black Cab with their Vito-based taxi and did a very good job – but at a price; the Mercedes Vito Cab costs around £42k, almost £10k more than the traditional London Taxi.
Fisker Karma hybrids burn during superstorm Sandy
Wed, 31 Oct 2012Fisker Automotive Inc. is looking into a report that 16 of its Karma plug-in hybrids caught fire at a New Jersey port after being submerged in seawater during Hurricane Sandy. "There were no injuries, and none of the cars were being charged at the time," the company said in a statement.
