In-car DAB digital overtakes analogue radio

Digital Radio UK has delved into CAP and SMMT (Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders) data, and found that DAB is now standard equipment on more new cars than analogue-only radio. As of April 2014, 55% of all new cars come with DAB digital radio as standard. Which is what this car essentially is, as the demand for 100 Aeromax hardtops was just so great that Morgan decided to build another similar model. The Supersports uses the same 4.8-litre V8 as the Aeromax, comes with a wood and leather-covered interior and features a bonded aluminium chassis that is cloaked by superformed aluminium panels.

Pininfarina to close manufacturing operations

Italian design and manufacturing house Pininfarina S.p.A announced it will be cutting back its operations, with the closure of its manufacturing facilities. The decision will see the brand now focusing solely on design and engineering aspects for the automotive industry. The move follows the recent completion of a partnership with Volvo, which saw the production of the C70 convertible at Pininfarina's Sverige AB plant in Uddevalla.
