MAZDA has released details on the brand-new fourth generation MX-5, already the best selling roadster of all time. Launched simultaneously at events in Barcelona, Japan and the USA, the fourth-generation MX-5 is the first to benefit from Mazda’s SkyActiv efficient technology. New Year drink-drive warning for revellers

SOME revellers will drink so much to see in the New Year that they might be over the legal driving limit for nearly all of January 1, the AA has warned. As many as 21% of people plan to drink at least 10 units of alcohol at New Year's Eve celebrations, potentially putting them still over the limit by 12 noon on New Year's Day. And the AA/Populus survey of more than 21,000 drivers also revealed that 2% would drink to such an extent that they risked being over the limit as late as 10pm on New Year's Day.

Land Rover LR4s successfully cross America off-road

Land Rover Expedition America has just wrapped up its month-long trek across the United States, almost all of it off-road. A team of three Land Rover LR4s covered 4,000-plus miles from Asheville, N.C., to the Oregon coast, following an off-road route called the Trans-America Trail charted by motorcycle legend Sam Correro in the 1990s. No other production car is known to have ever completed this journey.
