Los Angeles ain't called Tinseltown for nothing. It's probably the most celebrity-filled place on the planet - so it's no surprise that lots of well-known stars dropped in on the 2013 Los Angeles Motor Show. We saw dozens of names at the LA show, including world sprint champion Usain Bolt, who moonlights as Nissan's director of excitement when he's not smashing world records on the atheletics track.

MG Icon at Beijing The MG Icon – an SUV/Crossover Concept – has won the ‘Best Concept’ Award at the Beijing Motor Show from Autoweek Magazine. Just before the Beijing Motor Show kicked off we got the first sketches of the MG Icon, a compact, funky SUV Crossover in the mould of the Nissan Juke with an MGB bonnet and grill. Opel, General Motors' financially embattled European subsidiary, has ripped the covers from its sixth-generation Astra ahead of the car's planned debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September. The five-door hatchback traditionally is one of Europe's best-selling models and originally was expected to play an important role in the Saturn lineup in the United States. Under GM's pared-down lineup, the Astra's Delta 2 chassis is likely provide the underpinnings for a small Buick, initially in China, and then in the United States, depending on market conditions.
