Performance Flow Match 4 Cylinders For Cont.or Lyco.! on 2040-parts.com
Las Vegas, Nevada, US
PERFORMANCE FLOW MATCH (4) CONTINENTAL, LYCOMING OR AFTER MARKET CYLINDERS. CYLINDERS MUST BE RECEIVED IN OVERHAULED OR NEW CONDITION.
*NOTE: YOUR CYLINDERS CAN BE OVERHAULED BY AIRCRAFT CYLINDER REPAIR FOR AN ADDITIONAL COST.WE ALSO SELL NEW OEM OR AFTER MARKET CYLINDERS.
WORK IS DONE BY AIRCRAFT CYLINDER REPAIR (REPAIR STATION NO. PJ5R121N ),WHICH HAS A SPECIALIZED SERVICE RATING FOR AIR FLOW MATCHING INTAKE AND EXHAUST PORTS FOR OEM AND PMA CYLINDER ASSEMBLIES. WORK DONE THRU THE REPAIR STATION IS TO STANDARD CATERGORY AIRCRAFT.WE ALSO DO FLOW MATCHING FOR EXPERIMENTAL CATERGORY AIRCRAFT.
THE PURPOSE OF FLOW MATCHING IS TO BALANCE AIRFLOW THRU THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST PORTS OF A CYLINDER RESULTING IN A MORE EVEN FLOW THRU THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF THE CYLINDER. AIRFLOW IS BALANCED BY ADJUSTING AIRFLOW THRU THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST PORTS.THE PORTS OF A CYLINDER CAN SHOW A 10% OR UP TO 20 CFM DIFFERENCE IN AIRFLOW BETWEEN CYLINDERS RESULTING IN UNEVEN PERFORMANCE AND LOSS OF POWER. A GAIN OF 10-20 HORSEPOWER CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED.CUSTOMERS REPORT A SMOOTHER RUNNING ENGINE IN ADDITION TO MORE POWER.
THE PROCEDURE FOR FLOW TESTING IS TO SIMULATE AIRFLOW THRU THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST PORTS USING A FLOW BENCH AT A CONSTANT TEST PRESSURE. THE FLOW TEST IS PERFORMED USING SIX DIFFERENT VALVE LIFTS TO MAXIMUM VALVE LIFT. A CUSTOMIZED COMPUTER PROGRAM IS USED TO CALCULATE ALL TEST RESULTS AND GENERATE GRAPHICS,( LINE CHARTS & COMPARISON BAR CHARTS ) FOR EACH CYLINDER. PORTS ARE MATCHED WITHIN 1% FOR THE INTAKE AND 3% FOR THE EXHAUST. AN EXAMPLE OF INTAKE AND EXHAUST FLOW INITIAL/FINAL COMPARSION CHARTS ARE SHOWN.
BENEFITS OF FLOW MATCHING: > INCREASED PERFORMANCE! >INCREASED POWER! > SMOOTHER RUNNING ENGINE! > MORE EFFICIENCY!
VALVES ARE LAPPED TO IMPROVE THE BREAKIN PROCEDURE AND THE CYLINDERS ARE ASSEMBLED AND VACUUM TESTED FOR LEAKS AT NO CHARGE.

Lamborghini SUV confirmed
Wed, 01 Feb 2012A senior source at Lamborghini's parent company Audi in Ingolstadt, Germany, has confirmed reports suggesting that the Italian supercar maker is close to revealing a dramatically styled and luxuriously equipped SUV/crossover concept that previews its long-touted third model. "I can't comment in detail but the speculation in the press is largely correct," an Audi manager revealed when questioned about reports outlining plans by Lamborghini to gauge public response to a successor to the famed LM002 with a new SUV concept. Set to get its first public airing at the Beijing motor show in late April, the new SUV/crossover will extend the current Lamborghini lineup, joining the successor to today's Gallardo and the recently introduced Aventador in what will at least be a three-strong model lineup from Sant'Agata from 2016 onward.

Mon, 28 Feb 2011On the eve of the 2011 Geneva motor show, Seat has unveiled this IBX crossover concept at the Volkswagen Group’s pre-show party. Designed under the watch of ex-Lamborghini designer Luc Donckerwolke, it’s the second concept car to preview Seat’s future design language, and a strong hint that company is preparing to launch a new, small SUV. Yes, and in 2010 we saw two versions of the IBE electric sports coupe – one without an interior, and one with.
CCS - AISI project 2007
Wed, 26 Sep 2007The college for Creative Studies (CCS) has been teaming up with the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) since 1989, bringing together imaginative automotive design and steel, the material of choice in the industry. As did last year's program, this summer also saw three engineering students from the University of Michigan (UM) join three CCS transportation design students to develop a concept car. Revolving around an 'Inside Out' theme, students conceptualized, rendered and created a concept vehicle based on a steel exoskeleton design.
