Britain's best cars revealed: UK Car of the Year 2014

The inaugural UK Car of the Year Awards have been announced - naming the best models on sale in Britain today. MSN Cars' managing editor Tim Pollard was one of 27 UK judges, who have voted on the best cars in 11 categories. The first award goes to the Jaguar F-type, which picked up the best open-top car gong.

School-run squabbles over parking spots are on the increase, with as many as 75% of people taking children to or from school have witnessed aggressive behaviour among those seeking to park. The Stuttgart fire service claims that the hilly topography of the city meant it needed all-terrain emergency vehicles, and the project was given to local firm Porsche because the Cayenne served up the firemen's needs for something that can go anywhere fast. Nothing at all with them wanting to arrive in style or make neeh-naah noises in a Porsche.
