Toyota studying larger Prius people-hauler
Fri, 20 May 2011Toyota's Prius family could continue to grow, literally, as the automaker studies an additional version of the popular hybrid that carries three rows of seats. The three-row Prius would not be the same vehicle as the Prius Alpha sold in Japan, which basically crams a third row of seats into the cargo area of the five-seat Prius V to be sold in the United States starting this fall. To the contrary, this potential Prius would be large enough to hold seven people as well as their stuff, said Bob Carter, Toyota Division general manager.
Monte Carlo makeover for Skoda Citigo
Wed, 14 May 2014SKODA has transferred the big-selling Monte Carlo treatment first seen on the Fabia to its little brother, the Citigo. The Citigo Monte Carlo is based on the mid-range SE trim, but boasts stand-out black detailing including larger 15-inch alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, a rear mock diffuser, grille and door mirrors. Inside the cabin the changes include a 'sports' steering wheel and Monte Carlo red/black upholstery.
First Lamborghini Huracans making £30k premiums
Fri, 11 Apr 2014Lamborghini Huracan (pictured) fethcing premiums of up to £30k Tim Marlow, Director of Magnitude Finance, has revealed that two of their clients are amongst the first UK buyers due to get their car, and despite financing the purchase they’ve already decided to flip their car as soon as it arrives for a quick return. One has already secured a £27k premium for the car – which he won’t even bother to drive before he sells it on – and the expectation is that premiums could hit £30k in the first months after the Huracan arrives, such is demand for Lamborghini’s new supercar. But with UK dealers expecting just 4 cars each in 2014 (although Lamborghini London are getting a few more) those buyers who got in quick for an early delivery are sitting on a near 20 per cent profit as the less organised seek to get behind the wheel.
