Kia Kia has launched VR7 Picanto, Rio and Cee’d special edition models, which provide more equipment than entry-level versions, for a small increase in price. All VR7 special edition cars come with air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors and leather steering wheel and gearknob trims. Exterior features include alloy wheels and reversing sensors.

AMG badged baby SLS coming Mercedes are to launch an AMG branded small sports car in 2012 based on a cut-down version of the Mercedes SLS. We’ve thought for some time it was almost certain that Mercedes would build a smaller version of the SLS to take on cars like the Porsche 911 and Audi R8. And back in October we got confirmation from AMG’s Christoph Jung that Mercedes and AMG are indeed working on a new, smaller SLS.

Festooned with cues from the original 1998 TT – something of a modern classic – the new car marries typical Audi cues with sharper, more aggressive details. It looks awfully close to CAR’s artist’s impression of the new TT in our gallery (see right).
