Use Pettit Metal Primer to prime bare metal. Pettit metal primer contains corrosion inhibitors to protect metal above the waterline from corrosion and provide rust resistance. Coverage is approximately 400 to 600 square feet per gallon of primer. Denatured alcohol may be used to thin Pettit 6455 metal primer.

Pettit Metal Primer 6455/044 is a two component, self-etching type wash primer designed to be used exclusively on bare matels such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper, bronze, galvanized steel, lead and aluminum. It forms an excellent adhesive bond to metal hulls, keels, centerboards, and other underwater running gear. This primer can be used either above or below the water. It is easily overcoated with either epoxy primer, topside enamels, or antifouling paint.

New Porsche CEO and president Matthias Muller is weighing up a review of Porsche’s motorsport activities – and claimed the sports car brand could re-enter Le Mans with a full factory team, or even F1. Muller was appointed on 1 October 2010 and has lots on his plate: he’s a VW veteran and is charged with integrating Porsche smoothly into the Volkswagen business empire as Wolfsburg ratchets up its ownership of Porsche. That integration includes motorsport, he told CAR at the 2010 Paris motor show.

The vibe on the Toyota stand is subdued, yet upbeat at the same time. They're chuffed to bits with their new products on show, but we can't help remembering Japan's – and the world's – premier car maker's $4.9 billion loss last year. And it's forecast to lose a similar amount in 2009.
