PIEPS JetForce Tour Pro 34L Avalanche Airbag Backpack YELLOW Sm/MedWhen your skiing deep in the backcountry, avalanche safety is absolutely critical. Avalanche airbags have long existed with the use of finnicky air cannisters that are awkward and nearly impossible to travel with. PIEPS addressed these issues with the JetForce Tour Pro 34 Avalanche Airbag Backpack. In the event of an avalanche, simply deploy the airbag which helps keep you on top of the snow therefore reducing the chances of the skier getting buried. A small jet fan is powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery which is easy and safe to take on an airplane. This small fan fills the 200 liter Cordura bag in under four seconds. After the initial inflation, the jet fan cycles periodically to keep the bag inflated in case any small tears occured due to sticks or debris. The bag then deflates offering an air pocket for increased breathing and survival time in the event the skier is buried. In addition to the cutting edge JetForce technology, the Tour Pro 34 offers 34 liters of storage space for additional layers, food, and tools. Storage is provided for your avalanche, beacons, and shovels. A ski and snowboard carrier accomodates nearly any width of ski and non-icing buckles allow for use in the nastiest of weather. The PIEPS JetForce Tour Pro 34L avalanche airbag backpack may just save your life. SpecificationsWeight: 3500g Colors: black/PIEPS-yellow, black/chili-red Volume: 34 liters Sizes (unisex): Torso: 41-48 cm, Waist: 66-130 cm |

VW pushes upmarket: the new Passat and lessons learned by the Phaeton
Mon, 07 Jul 2014By John Mahoney Motoring Issues 07 July 2014 08:02 Logically, it makes perfect sense to push the new 2015 VW Passat upmarket far away from the declining, mass-market D-segment it used to inhabit. After all, how can Volkswagen resist a tasty slice of profit the BMW 3-series or Mercedes C-class dishes out to their makers? Even if it does risk stepping on Audi's toes...

Is BMW’s Project-i (i3 & i8) in trouble?
Tue, 29 May 2012Reports suggest that BMW are getting cold feet over their electric Project i and are considering delaying the i3 and i8. We’re not the biggest fans of the electric car, although we certainly see it has a place in our new world. But as a replacement for the ICE car it’s a non-starter.
