Persuaders Aston for sale

THE ASTON MARTIN used by Roger Moore in the 1970s television series The Persuaders is up for sale and expected to fetch £500,000. Finished in rare Bahama Yellow, the 1970 DBS was built specifically for use in the popular detective series. However, Aston Martin had yet to launch its DBS V8 model, so it took a standard DBS with the smaller six-cylinder engine and made it look identical to the newer and more powerful V8 from the outside.

GM moves Nesbitt back to design group in management shake-up

General Motors has made big changes to its top management structure, splitting apart its sales and marketing activities and naming new bosses for each discipline. The goal is to reduce layers of management under Mark Reuss, GM's president for North America. Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, announced the firm's intentions to revive the fabled Lagonda marque in a statement to the media yesterday. "After my eight years with Aston Martin, four with profitability, and 16 months of independence, it's time to think about a longer term future." Bez said.
