Citroen Numero 9 'will influence all future DS models'

Citroen's Numero 9 concept car previews the new face of all future DS cars from the French manufacturer, the design chief told CAR. Thierry Metroz, director of design in Paris, said the Numero 9 was an ideas car, but admitted it would influence the look of production cars in the near future. 'Look very closely at the grille - it is much more three-dimensional,' he said.

For those of you who haven't yet attended, Art Center's Car Classic is rapidly becoming the talk of the concours circuit. Held during the middle of the summer trimester at the main Hillside campus in Pasadena, it was started just three years ago and is gaining quite a following not only because of its intimate setting in which to admire the cars but also because attendees rub shoulder-to-shoulder with a variety of current and past industry designers and celebrities. Public Says No To Motorway Go Slow Plans

IT’S A BIG ‘no’ from the motoring public on the subject of lowering motorway speed limits, according to a survey conducted by car supermarket firm Motorpoint. In light of recent proposals to reduce to 60mph the speed limit on a 34-mile section of the M1 spanning Derbyshire and South Yorkshire due to pollution concerns, the web-based survey found 78.1 per cent of drivers opposed such measures.
