All items sold as is, and may not have minor parts such as shift adapter nuts, but if that was missing, please let us know, rather than returning it (or leaving negative feedback), we could always send one out. That said, I personally sealed the last hundred, and I recall about 3 missing it. We have since found more, so just let us know! Not a catchy moniker perhaps, but the new car has been built to commemorate 15 years of the Caterham Driving Experience (CDX) – the track days where you can drift or slalom a Seven. As well as the gloss black paint, plus decals along the sides mimicking the CDX cars, the big news is the return of the K-series powerplant delivering 135bhp through a five-speed ‘box.
Aston Martin in talks with Mercedes for engine supply
Thu, 09 May 2013It has seemed for some time that Aston Martin’s wish-list for future engines revolved around Mercedes. They currently use a V12 developed from Ford’s Mondeo V6 and a V8 that’s a development of the 4.2 litre that was in Jaguars (and Range Rovers) until a few years ago, but new engines (and new platforms) are vital if Aston are to remain competitive. Before the recent investment in AML by Investindustrial, there were plans for Aston to use both engines and platforms from Mercedes (the Lagonda SUV was built on the underpinnings of the Mercedes GL) and even the possibility that Aston Martin would design and build the next generation Maybach.

After the luxurious EB112 and EB118 concepts, Ferdinand Piech commissioned Italdesign to work on another prototype: a Bugatti flagship supercar – the Chiron. While its predecessor, the mighty EB110, was a fantastic and bold design, it lacked a real Bugatti character.
